TYR CXT-3 vs. NOBULL Outwork
Not that
NOBULL Outwork (Men's)
NOBULL
$150
If you want one shoe that squats, cleans and handles sprints and box jumps, get the CXT-3. The Outwork is a good flat shoe. The CXT-3 just covers more of a CrossFit class.
Prices checked October 26, 2026. TYR CXT-3 Trainer (Men's) in stock at Rogue Fitness as of October 26, 2026 (grey/red, men's 6 to 14 listed).
Why the coach picked it
- The 9mm heel-to-toe drop gives you a bit more ankle room in the bottom of a squat or a clean. The Outwork sits at 4mm.
- The external TPU heel wrap is there to keep your heel in place when you lift heavy and move side to side.
- TYR pitches it as one shoe for the whole session: stable enough to lift heavy, light enough for sprints, jumps and every transition in between. That's most WODs on the whiteboard.
- The TYRTAC herringbone rubber outsole is built for grip across all training surfaces.
- It costs $10 more than the Outwork. Pay that once, not again when you want a shoe that does more.
When the other one is the right call
If you like a flat, low shoe and want the lighter option, get the Outwork. Same goes if you mostly lift and want a 4mm drop that keeps you close to the floor.
