Why the coach picked it
- You're not giving up the frame. Both racks use 2x3-inch 11-gauge steel uprights with Westside hole spacing through the bench and pull zones.
- The 91-inch T-3 is $594.97, or $666.94 with Titan's pin-and-pipe safeties. The R-3 is $870. That's about $200 back in your pocket.
- Titan rates the T-3 at 1,100 lb rackable and its included J-hooks at 1,000 lb combined. Its add-on pin-and-pipe safeties are rated at 650 lb, so if you plan to dump more than that onto the safeties, look elsewhere.
- You get two pull-up bars, a 1.25-inch bar up front and a 2-inch fat bar in back, so you can train grip without buying anything else.
- Rogue says the R-3 must be bolted to the floor. Titan recommends bolting, but doesn't require it. Bolt either one down if you can.
When the other one is the right call
Buy the R-3 if you want it made in the USA, want safeties and band pegs in the box with nothing to add, or you're building out with Rogue's own R-3 accessories.
